Yes, I’ve been following my niece’s journey (which I also completely support). She herself has spent so much time thinking this through. I think most people underestimate how thoroughly young people explore things important to them.

There are 756 billionaires in the United States. THAT is “high wealth.” Wealth is different from being rich.

In NYC, an income of $400K doesn’t get you very far. The estimate of how many Americans make over $1mil/year is 0.1%. If you take 0.1% of approximately 330,000,000 Americans, that’s 330,000. Cracking down on tax evasion of over 300K Americans seems like it could cure a lot of woes.

Hmmm. Not sure I consider people making between $400K and $1mil as “high wealth.” Let’s see how much tax the billionaires are paying, please.
