Speaking of Black inventors, a Black dude invented to the traffic light. Shoutout to Garrett Morgan. He also invented a bunch of other cool shit like gas masks.

Garrett Morgan is my favorite type of inventor. Heโs one of those people who saw a problem and just invented a thing to fix it.
The crib tunnel fire where his safety hood was used was here in Cleveland, so I know about that but had no idea about the traffic light!

FWIW, I think every 3rd grader in NYC knows his name and that Morgan invented the traffic light.

I'm glad you posted about him. This month I'm trying to bring awareness to little known black people who have made considerable contributions to math, science, aviation, and many other fields.
