Capt Barnard knows MG34 fire when he hears it. Orders '2 up, 1 back'. While Sgt O'Neil keeps 3rd Pltn in town as reserve, Cpl Allen & 1st Pltn leave cider farm & head south, Cpl Carver & 2nd Pltn leaves the Manor house & does likewise, & Cpl Watney with MMG section takes up British left flank.
