This was always such a fascinating entry in the Hannah-Barbera repertoire. It was dark, it had some relatively serious themes, the color scheme was relatively muted, heck even some body horror. And yet, I still think it’s one of their more important IPs as far as doing something different and new.

Swat Kats. A personal fave and the edgiest Hanna-Barbera property. Two ex-cops in an anthro semi-future--an ace pilot and a tech genius--become vigilantes with combat gear and a super-jet scavenged from the junkyard they work at. Two seasons, and the most rockin' cartoon intros you'll ever hear.

The horror elements of the show were fantastic, especially for something ostensibly made for a YA/kid audience. There was some really gruesome stuff.
