Something like that is quite difficult to do because it's scary to not be able to predict how your own game will play out, even though it's very worthwhile if you nail down the execution of RNG elements.

Yea at times it feels like the game's gaslighting me where a strat works a bit too well and I don't know if it's bad balance or good RNG. But I always remind myself that so many RNG driven games I love are exactly like this - Final Fight, GnG, Ninja Gaiden 2, Shiren, Spelunky, and so on
