@theabigailthorn.bsky.social 54:40 - subtitle error: you say "unreality" but the subtitle says "reality"
if we assume that all space is actually literally quantized into like a neat grid of sorts you can count, we are in the realm of countable infinities instead. Still the same kind of infinity throughout, just a much smaller one instead.
to prove that (for the number line), I think all you need is a 1-to-1-correspondence. You can map the entire line to the unit interval with the sigmoid function, and go back with its inverse. You can not do the same trying to map the number line to integers.
The "kind of infinity" is the one of the regular continuum, presumably? - Wherein the interval between 0 and 1 is the same size as all real number from -infinity to infinity.
that's not even what's going on here I think. The "kind of infinity" is essentially the same I think. It's the density that changed a lot. Stuff got spread out. A lot.
Relatedly, a few months ago there was an airline that had to give a customer some service they normally don't provide because their very helpful chatbot declared it so. They tried to declare it a glitch in the system and null and void but the customer sued and won
Can't believe there is no example image of the dromaeosaur
Ooo I hadn't yet considered that to be a possible usecase for feeds. Very fun!
