Everybody should get library cards even if you're not gonna use them because it makes the numbers look better and makes the government fund them more.
Yup. So many good reasons to get people to get cards and use them. Tons of freebies. www.aarp.org/money/budget...
In addition to books, some libraries lend many other useful items from power tools to computer tablets to seeds you can plant in your garden.
I used to have one, but the government closed the nearby library.
Good point
Yeah I can't remember the last time I went to a physical library (though they helped raise me as a kid and I'm glad they're there) but I use audiobook borrowing from our library almost every single day. Priceless!
Until MAGAts start creating TikTok videos of burning cards they did not request.
i'm sorry. what does this mean? not a us citizen, but i thought most libraries are privatized, and the ones that aren't are city/state owned, not federally. so... what? lol
Got mine.
Bad library perhaps. My local one has an automated door counter to measure the number of visitors. Far better tool.
And you can use it even at home if yours is linked to sites like Hoopla and Kanopy.
I love my library card and use the online stuff daily. Books, movies, music, tv series, magazines - all for free
