A new CT law requiring DESPP and POTS to issue guidelines governing when body worn/dash cams can be turned off goes into effect today. I reached out to DESPP for comment and to obtain a copy. Those questions were turned into a FOIA request. Meaning answers likely aren't coming soon.

The second is an absolutely insane case where a woman was declared mentally incompetent, detained in a prison hospital for 9 months, and forcibly given anti-psych meds because she refused to identify herself to a cop. At the end of her ordeal, the charges against her were nolled.

The Connecticut Supreme Court heard oral arguments in two cases today. The first involved the dismissal of a defamation lawsuit under the state's anti-SLAPP statute.
