Another recommendation from a friend. There are very few games that I 100% complete. Tape to Tape is one of them. My recent love with hockey mixed with my love of Roguelikes makes this a no-brainer. It has a lot of hilarious inside jokes, fun gameplay, and it's a hockey game on PC! (Fuck you, EA)
Inscryption was recommended to me when it came out and the person who recommended it said to not look into it too much but promised that I would love it. I'm glad that I went into it without researching anything about it because it is such a phenomenal experience that is like a rollercoaster.
I spent SO many hours playing Diablo 2. Not EverQuest hours but pretty high up there. Being an alt-aholic, I never actually ended up getting a level 99 (I think my highest was a 96 Amazon) but I spent SO many hours playing. Doing MF runs, PVPing outside of Act 1 Camp, Cowlevels.
Half-Life 2. When this game came out, I played it and was absolutely blown away. The plot is fantastic and immediately hooked me. It was also the first game that I played where they heavily featured physics puzzles and it blew my teenage mind. "Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman. Rise and shine."
This is recently relevant so I'm going to start off with this one. EverQuest, circa 2001-2002-ish, was literally the greatest video game experience I've ever had. The world, the story, the gameplay, the midi music was all so fantastic and it's the reason why I have 4000-5000+ hours logged.
