petty complaint of the day: why would anyone create a Mandarin (to any other language) dictionary that doesn't show you the pinyin in addition to the word's meaning???

I’ve seen this in some specialized dictionaries - engineering, medicine, etc - and I suspect in those cases it’s to save paper as much as anything (as they tend to be enormous and unprofitable)
