Gender is easy to understand, if at any point you find yourself going "You can't <verb> like a <gender> if you don't <verb> like one" to anyone, you're instantly in the wrong and should be ashamed of yourself. It's not your's to identify with, it belongs to that individual. Get back in your lane.
