Not wanting your photo taken at a family gathering (etc.), is not being a killjoy. In the age of social media, our photos are rarely just our own. Not all of us want to be featured / evaluated in this way. If you can’t trust the person taking the photo, saying no is ok. Failing that duck for cover.

Same with group photos at work or at college. I hate being in them 😅

Oh 100%. I stay resolutely on the other side of the camera myself and only take pictures of other people if they’re happy to allow and importantly like the results.
