I’m kinda fascinated by the Until Dawn remake. Like, here’s a remake that has worse visuals, worse music, worse performance, worse bugs, worse camera, worse gameplay, and is also (at least) three times more expensive than the original game which you can still buy and play on modern hardware.
Also the idea that it's getting a movie, meaning this will be the third time we're revisiting this story, is hilarious.
Is there any way to play the original on PC?
I feel like the Sony execs are just in their offices eating glue for 8 hours while coked up marketing guys try to sell them remakes of anything but Bloodborne to justify their employment
It's beyond pointless, like the original is perfectly fine.
It seems like the new models are technically more advanced.. but the original used its lighting and filtering to mask off what made it look like a 'game model'. So even if it's technologically 'better', it looks less passable as 'real people'.
It would’ve been easier to just port the PS Move version for PS3 to VR, given how things went.
Not since Psycho (1998) starring Vince Vaughn have we seen a project aiming for a 1:1 recreation with “better technology” completely miss the mark on why the original worked so well even within the limitations of when it was made.
glad I can save money on it lol
Unfortunately that's just how it is sometimes, which is a big bummer
Yeah same here! I was so confused when it was announced, like a) did it need a remake? This soon? It holds up extremely well?? And b) how does it look so much worse?
