There's a quiet war in my country, U.S.A. It's been a slow moving coup since 2016. It erupted Jan. 6, 2020 w/those who attacked the U.S. Capitol, democracy, and the rule of law. Yes, vote. But what else, where to start to protect my country, and the world, from electing a dangerous man in 2024?

Learning a language using Duolingo. Feels a bit like Sesame Street for adults. I don't mind; it's free. Now on Unit 1: alphabet & recognizing words by ear. I'm out of little 'hearts' so I can't continue with DL lessons for tonight. Says I'll get another 'heart' in 3 hours. Time for my meditation.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the U.K. took a forthright stand in creating and signing the Security Agreement with President Zelenskyy to support his country, Ukraine, through this war. I hope this proves to be the watershed moment for countries worldwide to support Ukraine to Victory.

I read that good writers are keen, sensitive observers of life. What we see in others is also a reflection of ourselves. I think that understanding this imbues one's writing with truth, rich color, & most importantly, empathy. It is these qualities in writing and in people, in which I find beauty.

I think I sneeze at normal volume and w/out drama. No spray. Yet even as my sneeze is building Jim's reacts by scampering away. Fear or playful behavior? Quirky cat. Sunny and a perfect blue sky, but blustery. Spider webs left behind on the screen glint in the sun. I hope you're having a good day.

Snowing in Massachusetts. Tree branches hold their share, weighed down. Each crevice of branches filled in with tiny triangles of white. Until the wind whirls it away like a short mini blizzard. Snowflakes patiently, one by one, alight to graciously redo their work.
