Not me over here watching commercials from the 90’s/00 with my boyfriend and shouting out which ones we remember. 👀 book buying is self care and I will die on that hill.
THIS! ✨
⚡️INTRODUCTION POST⚡️ I’m incredibly bad at these, so please bear with me. So I’ll keep it simple. ✨ Writer ✨ Reader ✨ Ambivert ✨ Animal Lover ✨ Mental Health Awareness 👏🏻 ✨ Tired Millennial
Tell me about it 😭 I’m wondering if book clubs are not for me. Too many expectations. 😂 But I’ll be okay.
I agree breaks are important. I’m on a short intentional break. I pick away at “plotting” (I’m more of a discovery writer) my WIPs here and there. But am focusing on reading and finding my passion for it again. I am constantly learning about the craft…which can be a blessing and a curse.
Positive affirmations really help me when I am in a spiral. Self doubt is a dreadful feeling, but it takes work to pull yourself out of it. 🫶
I feel that. Since starting my new job it’s been really hard to find time and energy. By the time I get home my brain is mush. So I try to write before work and the 45 mins at work before my scheduled hours. It’s quite calming.
@jillianspiridon.bsky.social I relate to your bio far too much!! 😂 specifically the millennial and retail therapy.
It’s difficult to make a break into traditional publishing. I think, if I remember correctly, Brandon Sanderson wrote thirteen or so books before Elantris was picked up. But traditional publishing is not for everyone and that’s okay! I still haven’t decided what route I’m going to go.
I’m having surgery in three weeks and I’m in need of a good book. The last was a dud! I think my boyfriend got sick of me complaining about it. 😂 Nonetheless, it was for bookclub, so had to finish it.
