My million-dollar startup idea: a subscription service where seniors can call or text a young person who will, patiently and without condescension, answer questions like “How do I make the TV record the Midsomer Murders?” or “What is a Chappell Roan?”
A lot, but not all, library workers will do the second one of these things for free. Some will do the first, but given how many different TV setups people have, that one's a tall order!
What IS a Chappell Roan? (Seriously, I'm an old. 🤣)
You gotta compete with my startup for the same thing bsky.app/profile/chef...
Senior citizen calls a Millennial who texts a Gen Z, and then the whole thing reverses course.
Brilliant!
I watched an episode of NCIS once where there was a “rent a grandkid” app where young people could make a bit of money helping seniors with things like “building ikea shelves”, or “setting up an email address”, or “set up a Zanzibar marketplace to fence my collection of stolen paintings.”
Those assholes holes would NEVER ask for help. ESPECIALLY if they know it's available and designed for them.
How's your mom? 😂
