Just realized the microwave in the place we're staying is muted. It finishes cooking or running down its timer and just sits there, silently expecting everyone to just know its own situation and act accordingly. I feel a kinship.

Update: I've successfully simulated two characters hitting each other over the head with sharp sticks. To do: Make the characters, the hits, and the sticks more interesting.
