It took me some time to find clear similarities in the language used. But, since the AI submissions are in such a grey area, I asked the student to elaborate on what they submitted. They had no idea what they posted, and admitted having used outside help without giving credit to it.

Return to oral exams-now how do we scale that? 🤔 But, yes I think you’re right. Often they simply admit it when I ask. I also started this summer asking students to write a statement acknowledging the AI policy. I think it helped cut down on it.
