OMG I just logged in to my upcoming Geography of the Hawaiian Islands class at Hawaiʻi Community College & it is going to be AWESOME! We can use as much ʻŌlelo or Pigdin as we want! The entire semester is organized into anahulu on the Hawaiian lunar calendar rather than Georgian weeks & months.

That sounds great.

We have to do a hands-on cultural stewardship project like working in a lo'i or a look i'a. Learning is collaborative and place-based! This is why I started in the Hawaiian Studies program at HCC: to learn entirely new and different things in a new and different way!
