One of the easiest ways to help grow Bluesky that anyone can do is to regularly check the Quiet Posters feed and be generous with your engagement. Establishing a presence on a new network is hard, and helping newskies get seen is a great way to get them to stay bsky.app/profile/why....

I’ve been on Bluesky for many months in total (this is my second account) and never gotten any engagement. Bluesky is a bit of an impenetrable clique if you don’t already have established connections, unless you fit into one of their dominant subcultures (e.g., trans furry cartoonists).
Or, we can go and talk some smack on Twitter about Twitter! I just signed up there, and even before my first tweet, three scam accounts started following me. And yet, Twitter had me jump through hoops to prove I'm not a bot. So how did those three slipped past their screening process?
