Your reaction to the idea that providing acute MH care to unhoused people will help them get and keep housing is disproportionate and unhinged. I agree that everyone deserves and should immediately receive housing. I also know this is not immediately possible in the US because of capitalism.

And I wholeheartedly support that and work towards the implementation of policies that do both simultaneously. It's still pretty cool to see someone identify the MH needs in the unhoused community and offer direct support when the prevailing idea is "hope they go away."

It's pretty clear that you are more interested in picking fights than you are in discussing the intersectional ways in which our society has deeply failed unhoused people, including access to acute MH care. Consider unpacking that. PS - not a lib.

If a homeless person had a serious injury or physical illness, it would be prudent to meet their immediate needs - a cast, medication, diagnostic tests - and then helping them get housing so they can recover somewhere safe. Same is true for mental health.
