Being active on Bluesky yet posting this only on Twitter really shows the incentive structure for clout chasing by bashing Democrats over there, because it’s a right wing propaganda mill

Nate Holdren: it seems to me Harris needs to lose, as signaling via her election that the heinous actions of the Biden-Harris administration are fine would be further disaster. One counterargument is winning and losing an election is not actually means for such signaling. In that case she seems less worth voting for anyway, as it undermines the association between voting and actual democracy

Nate Holdren: I agree with you that Trump’s stated policies are even worse but I also think Trump is less effective at winning support for his policies, while Biden/Harris have done massive harm by normalizing racist policies that Trump couldn’t
Nate Holdren: while Trump is worse on policy he’s also worse at organizing political legitimacy. I very much get that the former matters but as far as I can tell you’re not accounting for the latter
