I feel so certain you are right. Everything about this election makes it an unprecedented cocktail and impossible to predict. I'm truly hating the vibes, but there really is no way to know until Election Day (and the likely excruciating week+ after).

There’s a ton of smaller more nuanced reasons it feels that way to me, and I get that there are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike this season. I just don’t get them personally. Within the first five minutes I was like “this season rules.”
