Same-sex marriage is not gay privilege, it's equal rights. Privilege would be something like gay people not paying taxes. -- Like churches don't.
There and back to my nearest city - Tours, in the Loire valley - is a 150km round trip costing only 6 euros (say, $7) by bus... quick, safe, comfortable, relaxing, can read a book, have a snooze or chat with a stranger... so many positives as well as easing traffic problems.
