TX AG Ken Paxton threatens doctors with liability if they provide an abortion to a woman after a court just said she could get one - to save her life, health and fertility. (Her pregnancy is not viable.)
Pro-lifers who don’t want their movement exposed for the naked assault on women that it is should really go after Paxton for crushing the facade, but won’t because even they don’t believe their movement has anything to do with fetuses.
The nerve of him saying doctors should be making the medical decisions…
What an absolute PoS
Didn't you (or Melissa/Kate) mention that Texas State has been suggesting women should sue the doctor for malpractice if they aren't able get a "permissible" abortion? Doesn't this put doctors in a no win situation in TX AG's framework? (Like either way, Doctors will be sued.)
this is the state all ob/gyn’s have to travel to in order to become board certified. how long until an out-of-state provider runs into issues while in Dallas to take their oral boards after treating a Texan out of state? 🤬
To have the gall to imply the doctor is not using their sound medical reasoning in the letter is beyond the pale. He’s applying legal burden to lay statements given in a different context to imply a DOCTOR is not giving a medical advice/recommendation.
Because 'small government'.
