Counterpoint: SaGa games are just very hard to stick with to the end. I’ve only started with the series this year and of the three I’ve played, I’ve gotten nowhere. I mean Emerald Beyond has such great systems but it kicks my ass so often I have to take regular breaks 😂

Fair to all the artists and content creators out there just looking to expand an audience, of course, but I think my preferred size of platform falls into “moderately active forum” territory. Only ever met a handful of loons trying to make cash from forum posting.

I too did the spit take/heart break after reading the original report 😂 Dude just meant he stopped making em like Fantasian years ago because it was too much, like he’s been getting assistance on OSTs since FFX. He did it full solo this one last time and now he’s out 😂 respectable madness.

Tbf, he clarified that this is his last “full” soundtrack. He’ll still be making music and overseeing arrangements. He just can’t take on the workload of scoring a full video game start to finish himself anymore. Which is beyond fair 😂

Maybe four years is still a little long to work on a game this specific if you want to make money, so I’m guessing it’s not really a workable scale. But if it is, keep ‘em coming!
