I’m not a fan of the word celt as it’s an 18th century invention however there’s plenty of evidence of a Brythonic language that dominated Europe pre Roman and we see it through names of rivers and places as well as port of Gaul (Portugal), Breton, Gaul, Galicia, Volga, Avon, ad nauseam

Not really true but yes. Scot actually means east isle and if you’re from Ireland then it is. But how did the Irish get to Ireland. Well you have to come from Wales to get to Ireland. So we’re all Celts 👍
Sorry if I came across as saying Pictish was a derivative of old Welsh as that wasn’t what I meant. Just that a great deal of what we call Scotland is old Welsh. I believe pict is Scandinavian?
