What makes you think arts education is myopic? Have you looked at various art school curricula to arrive at this belief? What right do you have to discourage undergrads from pursuing their desired paths?

I was a professor at one before my publishing obligations rendered me unable to devote the time necessary to continue teaching with the degree of dedication that I believe it requires. I continue to visit a lot of schools and have regular correspondence with colleagues about curriculum, syllabi, etc
