Also as a whole KP has a lot to say about power, “consent” writ large in terms of money/violence/systemic oppression, and how complicated slash sometimes-ugly relationships can be—so that’s more a Thematic Concern, if that makes sense?
I mean, I will say it’s very much part of the story re: what circumstances and situations a guy like Porsche feels able to express his desire for other men in (at first). It’s not by accident, and is addressed narratively in a couple of ways as the story goes on 🫡
