I’ve been thinking about your comment re: another writing pass every time one pops up in Tears of the Kingdom. Absolutely the weakest part of the game.

I miss the SNES-PS1 days of JRPGs when cutscenes were short, infrequent, and somewhat abstracted. I’m 100000x more moved by the opera scene in FF6 than I am by all the motion capture in the world
