This work was undertaken by an all-undergraduate team here at Strathclyde Uni. They developed both manual and semi-automated search methods to identify as many chemistry YouTube channels as we could find. They identified over 1600 channels, which blew my mind! 🤯

Some landmark years for Chemsitry YouTube channel creation: 2011 (one smartphones became prevalent) and 2020 (COVID pandemic). I'd guess this reflects larger trends.
