As someone whose local slang uses "skeet" as roughly "dirtbag", the jokey name for posts on this site is even more jarring
Sometimes I'm good until like 9pm/10pm/bedtime, and sometimes it hits 5:30 and I have to, like, power down I assume it's a combo of food/digestion and the time I take it, but good lord it's taking some getting used to (V good, in general, tho)
Really is extra rude that the treatment for "I can't focus and remember things well" is "remember to take daily medication"
And outside of maybe in-built survival instincts, like actual evolutionary behaviors, I don't really think the stuff we do day-to-day I'd any different than "you've learned certain patterns, and those patterns are in more places than just where you learned them"
Like, to be a huge nerd about it, if someone plays video games a lot, then they're going to be better at a brand new game than someone who's never picked up a controller (cause they're used to those) but we don't act like they have a magic innate talent for gaming, you know?
I think it'd actually more of an intuition that you build up over time, and a lot of the people who are "naturally" good at new things just have existing intuitions that apply more broadly than people realize.
Actually, as a non-sarcastic aside to the lrt, I actually don't really think that "talent" exists. At least not how most people think of it, as an innate ability to do stuff.
See, the trick is to only ever try things you're already good at, or related things that you can pick up super quickly, so as to avoid ever falling short of near-perfefection /s
Hm.... I think I'm going to try my hand at doing a little drawing (it happened, I thought about a thing and now I have to do the thing) Bummer part about art is that I'm not already good, so my lil perfectionist brain likes to quit when I don't see immediate excellence ._.
