Mine died 28 years ago last week.

Sort of - fairly well known across Canada for folk music fans, more so in the Atlantic provinces, and fading from memory with the younger generations. He was a friend of my SIL.

We used to get bagged milk in Saskatchewan when I was a kid, but haven’t seen it in the west for a long time.

It’s very likely true! We pitched an early concept of a kids’ animated series to a distributor, one of our characters was a snake and we were advised to change that if we wanted to sell into Australia. (Show is being made in Canada, snakes are fine here.) Rule is no spiders or snakes down under!

Today was a good day. I exited a board that was giving me consternation while managing to add to the load on some of the folks who caused consternation and my sweetie called me chaos for good. 😊

“Let’s settle Mars” comes from the same billionaire mindset as “Let’s build a tunnel and run small cars through it so I don’t have to see poor people on public transit.” That’s all it is.

This is not an argument for letting climate change rip — in fact, it’s an argument for doing what we can to stop it — but the climate on Earth could get considerably worse and it would still be a million times easier to live here than to attempt to make Mars habitable.
