this showed up in my memories so I'll share here. a small, 3 hour oil painting of a tea plantation in the Cameron Highlands of Malaysia.
I had to look it up too, and I was 14 when he was introduced. I feel like that's something I should have picked up from obsessively reading every X-Men book at the time!
I was googling reference for the roller skates and saw a picture of a woman wearing those pads and thought they looked cool!
X-Men, day 19 part 2: Dazzler! She was a character created to tie in to the disco craze just as disco died. But she can turn sound into light and you're allowed to draw her wearing roller skates.
X-Men, day 19: I miscounted how many days were left in the month and did an extra, so today there are two! First, Angel! His mutant power is that his parents are rich. Also he has wings and can fly
Breaking: comics are fun
Welcome!
I want to deeply THANK everyone who reposted and supported my kid's journey as a young artist. It's more important than ever that young artists don't get discouraged. The times are NOT gentle, and if we don't help out, we risk the future of art. THANK. 🙏 YOU. 🙏 Fly @morumotto.bsky.social
it's my birthday so you have to be nice to me
And I'm going to be taking a break from X-Men starting tomorrow so I can draw what I'm calling Movie Monstober, a different movie monster every day through Halloween! There's still a bunch of X-Men I want to draw, though, so I'll be getting back to that in November.
