I like how the earlier pairings look like names themselves. Ronald George. Jimmy Walter. Gerald Nelson. Richard Spiro. Lyndon Hubert. John Lyndon. A past qualification for Vice Presidents must have been for them to have first names that sound like last names.
Here's a totally insane video. Any fan of Captain Beefheart should check out this project. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvDH...

Now I'm watching Those About To Die and it's not great but I'm enjoying it anyway. I guess I'm one of those Ancient Rome enjoyers. Someone mentioned they were going to Pompeii and I realized it was 79 AD and I cringed so hard.
Sometimes it was creative but it was mostly just the same battle over and over. "Shields at 13%! We're all definitely going to die... wait, unless we somehow pull off an impossible maneuver we just came up with, for the hundredth time!"
I finished watching Star Trek: Discovery. It was very okay, I guess. It was smart in a dumb way. There was all this scientific talk that sounded like it meant something, but it didn't actually mean anything, and I kept being distracted by how the dialogue didn't make sense.
Fascinating interview with someone who's researched the Robert F. Kennedy Sr. assassination. She says Sirhan Sirhan was hypnotized by the CIA. Big if true. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tGx...

I watched The Sympathizer, a miniseries about the end of the Vietnam War. Robert Downey Jr. played almost every white man. His performances were distractingly over-the-top, but I guess that was the point. He was just nominated for an Emmy, but no one else was, which is too bad. It was a good show.
I've always hated it when I get to the end of a game and it shows me the world transforming, and then I come back and I'm on the last save before the final battle. I want to explore the transformed world! What's the point of saving everybody if they just get unsaved again?
I think Hob was a good game but it was frustrating because everything looked the same and nothing was named and I couldn't remember where I'd been before or how to get where I wanted to go. It mostly made me wish I was playing Tunic. Maybe there will be a sequel to that one day.
