If it’s helpful I think they’re making a video game about it? (I haven’t read the series either save through cultural osmosis but after hearing the concept, I was in firm agreement with this choice.)

The Last Ronin is really good. A little weird in places (as all good TMNT properties are), and a lot of heart.
