69 years ago today, the senate voted 65-22 to condemn Joseph McCarthy for conduct "unbecoming a Member of the United States Senate" that "tends to bring the Senate into disrepute." Yesterday a majority of the House GOP refused to vote out Santos despite his 13 unbecoming federal felonies.

The sense of place--Australia, parched and sweltering--is outstanding, characters are interesting, puzzle's baffling, writing's sharp! And the narration's great (I'm a fool for that accent!)
