In the case of Jenrick he was already in the gutter.
I wouldn't normally correct someone's post. I also have fat thumb syndrome...but it doesn't stop me shouting at the TV when overpaid journalists say "less" instead of "fewer". I know. I am sad.
I bought your book and really enjoyed it. I will not be buying the Boris offering, not even second-hand with the money going to my favourite charity. Moving on to "How they broke Britain" by @mrjamesob.bsky.social now. The OG thinks I'll blow a gasket. He's probably right. (OG: husband. O = Old.)
Is that the Cameron who went to Eton and who is married to an aristocrat's daughter? The one who spent £££ on a shed on wheels? The Cameron who is the very epitome of poverty...not? Or is it OK to mump clothes if you're rich Tory but wrong if you're a Labour PM?
Well said. And funny. Thanks. I needed a Monday am laugh.
Spontaneous????
That was a seriously bad night if Alvin Stardust was the answer.
If I fled overseas to escape persecution by Labour, would I be a refugee, an asylum seeker, or an illegal immigrant? I need clarity. I wouldn't want to break the law.
Perhaps we also need to look at the "consultants", brought in to advise on staffing levels, efficiency savings, etc., at enormous cost to NHS trusts. Firms like PWC, Deloitte, et al, which promoted these staffing cuts, then moved on to wreak havoc in yet another trust.
Watching The Sting with my Norwegian pen friend in Oslo in the early 70s. The ending totally got me. Still probably my favourite film.
