twitter is so dead- it was the platform i used for my work, sharing it, advertisin my shop etc. so i'm now feebly trying to come up with other ways to consistently share stuff but the social media grind is very exhausting & not something i enjoy at all.. reels.. postin often... not good for my brain
I think its initially terrible but in the long run its for the better considering we’re moving to open standards where we actually have some sort of control over our profile and follower list like newsletters back in the day.

They really worked to reprogram us to increase our work output to the point of burnout and now they want to feed those efforts to AI. I don’t wish good things for any of the people who own social media sites.
I feel you so much ;; it's honestly also so scary when you run a business that relies on getting seen, that a platform can suddenly just be kinda gone. But I'm glad you're enjoying bsky!! I love it and genuinely hope we can all rebuild here even if it takes some time /attempts to send you energy

there are things that are inevitable in certain careers (i cant escape social media entirely bc my main income is ecommerce) but i also feel no joy in the numbers game, or strategically posting for algorithms.. engagement farming.. none of it!! it makes me feel robbed as a person/creative... sigh

Oh, I so long to be freed from the social media algorithm grind, but I can't really as how else I can reach the niche people who will enjoy what I do?
Mood. I've let my tiktok fall to the wayside again and after reading about the meta AI crud I have barely touched my IG at all. 🫠 Twitter for me wasn't a great platform but sometimes I got work from it now I barely get anything. It's definitely draining all around. Personally just been focusing here
