... I was younger and naive. I did a lot of research then and learned what a huge commitment they, especially the higher the wolf content. That paired with stuff like winter wolf syndrome and the constant misrepresentation of dogs that look wolfy but aren't actual wolfdogs doesn't help, either.

It's sad to know that there are so many wolves and wolfdogs in captivity, and most of them end up in sanctuaries (which luckily exist) because the vast majority of people who get them simply don't have what it takes to keep them (even somewhat) properly.
