Sometimes I like to lean into it, not by reading mean emails but by throwing myself a disappointment parade where I lie face down on the floor and feel really pathetic. Eventually I think about lining up my UglyDolls in the disappointment parade, by which time I'm feeling slightly goofy about it

That sounds kind of delightful. I ended up playing some SDV and imagining myself on the frontier alone with no friends or family and no one knowing where I am and how EVERYONE WILL MISS ME WHEN I'M GONE like I'm 14 again. It didn't help, but at least I don't want to hit myself with a rake again.
