This one is even better than FPGA, replacing an 8bit mask ROM microcontroller with a different programmable 8bit microcontroller 🙂

Full FPGA acceleration does exist, called the Vampire. But it is a lot more expensive.

To be fair, I also hate what is called chocolate in the US. They even took the Cadbury's brand and somehow made it inedible.
