Read today's aptly titled "Meltdown" by @lisaalletson.bsky.social@fictivedream.bsky.social. Love this!

We are thrilled to welcome Lisa Alletson with Meltdown, out tomorrow @lisaalletson.bsky.social#flashfiction#shortstory
Hello, Blue Sky! We're "welkin on sunshine" to be in this new place. Those of you who stare REALLY HARD at our profile might notice something exciting... #FlashFiction#Microfiction#WritingCompetition#AmWriting

Thrilled to have a micro up at @cincinnatireview.bsky.social@bendinggenres.bsky.social retreat, inspired by an abstract art card from the deck "Prose Scintilla" (Michael Todd Cohen). I interpreted the image as a mermaid.
"The mermaid's brain floats in a sac near her head. Stegosaurus plates rise along her spine as if she is history." -- in this week's miCRo, @lisaalletson.bsky.social takes us to a haunted place where words disappear.
Lisa Alletson's "Apocalypse" is perfect both for the spooky season and for the anxious writer in all seasons.
I have a new story up at @fracturedlit.bsky.socialfracturedlit.com/fire-and-sea/

I open my grandfatherās book of Keats poems to find a pressed iris the color of raw silk. With the flower, a sepia photograph of a young woman smiling slightly, gazing at the photographer with sunflower eyes. I close the book, carefully. Some things crumble when examined too closely.
