I learned so much this month, y'all! I did so much! It was this wonderful, beautiful, absolutely validating experience. Three years in a row, my family and I have wandered into adventures, not knowing what to expect, but following where my writing takes me. (2)
And we're off. One last morning in this beautiful place. Who knew I would grow to love New Mexico? Last year I made 204 subs and was rejected 158 times. Once the new year hit, the subs and rejections kept coming, but the Santa Fe Art Institute was on the horizon. (1)
Contract Signed! My poem, "The Pixies are in the Attic" will be in @smallwondersmag.com some time this fall/winter. I'm so thankful this piece found a home with a mag I adore with folks who love it as much as I do.
