IF YOU COMMISSION ME AND I SEND YOU 12 VERSIONS THAT ARE NEARLY IDENTICAL THIS IS THE ISSUE IM DEALING WITH I HAVE FOUR SCREENS MY ART LOOKS DIFFERENT ON ALL OF THEM WHICH LOOK THE BEST TO YOU
That image is an illustrators NIGHTMARE! 😭 I have so much trouble with this because I aim for a personal-to-me balance of vibrancy in my work only for a different screen to completely screw it up lol.
I managed to calibrate my phone and monitor to be almost identical in colour, and I am so happy! My Surface though, which is what I actually draw on, is completely different, so I have to hook it up to the monitor to make sure everything looks correct 😝.
Omg this between my iPad and my phone drives me insane sometimes lol!
Even my own glasses affect colours too because they have a blue light filter to help with my large amount of screen time 💀 Thinking about all this stuff taunts you badly, and yet people probably don't notice a thing LMAO.
A friend of mine has calibrated his screen but its true to colour because of that. It takes hours though and needs specialised equipment
when i was in art school we used to have these insane monitor setups with arcane names to try and combat this, it was truly wild. as a trad artist, my battle is simply "trying to make the scan in some way resemble the real piece"
