Growing up in an orphanage, Samuel Waterford (AKA Spike) has always been a fan of wrestling (or spellbreaking). Before being scouted by Colt 'The Bolt', he earned his keep as a pinup boy for saucy magazines. He was also, briefly, in the Navy. He decided to keep the gimmick for his ring persona.
