The part I hate most about the Great Replacement BS is that immigrants don't, as a rule, become Democrats. They become Americans, and they'd become Republicans if Republicans didn't think scapegoating them was better business. The part I hate most about the Great Replacement BS is that immigrants don't, as a rule, become Democrats. George W. Bush is the only Republican President to win reelection since Ronald Reagan, and the only one to win the popular vote in the 21st century. Winning record high Latino support certainly didn't hurt. A competent Republican party would be very dangerous.

It does seem like the modern GOP has decided, "Let's find the people most amendable to our traditional message, entrepreneurial, socially conservative, no strong ties to any American party or movement, and say the worst things we can imagine about them."

I'm an immigrant. (white straight male, i.e., boring) I find it incredible that any immigrant, regardless of how many generations ago, would consider voting for these horrible people. Their pathetic need to find people to look down at. Sure makes me look down at them.

There would probably be less concern if the immigrants came from the "right" countries, I'm guessing

Yes. They’d definitely lean Republican. Many immigrants come with cultural superstitions. Like republicans have here.

The Florida Republicans have picked up on this for the last few decades until just now and it worked really well for them.
