I wrote up a big feature request/proposal on Bluesky's Github. https://github.com/bluesky-social/social-app/issues/1078 It's so common to make alt accounts for different kinds of posts. EG: Art-only feeds, game-posting, After Dark. So, what if posts/reposts could be categorized under one account?

A mock-up of a user profile tab titled "Channels", displaying a list of categories (user-defined timelines) that their posts have been sorted into. This example displays three different feeds:
• Art & Projects, a public feed visible by default.
• NSFW Artwork, a public feed disabled by default.
• 18+ After Dark, locked by default - a private feed that requires users to request access before they can view its contents.
A mock-up of a user profile, where the +Follow button now has a Settings cogwheel next to it. This opens up a drop-down menu, revealing a handful of toggles to finetune the categories of posts that you wish to see on your Home Feed.
A mock-up of the New Post window with a "Post to Channel" selection bar, allowing posts to be organized into categories that the user has pre-defined.

I would definitely love something like this, even if I'd still separate main and AD. It'd be great for having, like you show, little tabs for art, gaming, or whatever you'd like to organize out!

Realistically, I don't expect Bluesky's development team to take this suggestion on-board. You can already sign into multiple accounts, signalling that the intended way to separate posts off into their own little zones is the same work-around we've seen on Twitter and Mastodon: Make More Accounts.

A screenshot of the "Signed in as" portion of Bluesky's Settings menu. The screenshot displays the list of accounts logged into the User's current session, and an "Add account" button for signing into additional accounts.

Ohhh I kind of like this interpretation of multiple accounts as channels.
