Soz, but I disagree. All the aforementioned was appalling: but Starmer stood on a ticket of being different. He could get away with the footie box argument if he walked away from the rest. But if he doesn't, the disenfranchised will just become even more alienated from democratic politics.

At no time has Starmer said he'll stop donations and gifts, he wants the rules to be followed which people like Johnson didn't do. He was talking about the sleaze, corruption and incompetence of the Tories. The £100k is over 5 years and the comparison is sitting MP's, very disingenuous reporting.

I agree, he's making it easy to be painted as a corrupt elite. He must see he needs to be different from the Tories, we need him to be better.
