I loved these books. 1969 is before my time, so I never saw the televised version.

I remember that one as I found out it was part of a series - which I then went on to read. I had to replace those books a few years ago as they were falling apart. There's a The Dark Is Rising read-along at Xmas time. Yes, I remember that one.
